\u00c2\u00a0Agents and other service providers tend to &#8216;tout&#8217; their monetary worth rather than selling themselves with what they can offer their clients.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.beingbobblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/19150356.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-835\" title=\"19150356\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.beingbobblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/19150356-300x199.jpg?resize=300%2C199&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/beingbobblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/19150356.jpg?resize=300%2C199&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/beingbobblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/19150356.jpg?w=800&amp;ssl=1 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>What does it mean to the consumer when they read &#8216;Top Producer&#8217; in an ad for a real estate agent? \u00c2\u00a0Have you ever pondered that question? \u00c2\u00a0Could it mean that the agents &#8220;think they&#8217;re all that?&#8221; \u00c2\u00a0Could it mean that the agents are just &#8220;too busy for me, the consumer?&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>My father was in the service (USAF) and then &#8216;retired&#8217; and went into business. \u00c2\u00a0I remember all my life having the mantra &#8216;the customer is ALWAYS right&#8217; being hammered into my brain. \u00c2\u00a0When I left banking and went into real estate, those words resounded with me because I knew that I had to adjust my\u00c2\u00a0banking mentality to one of complete customer service (in real estate).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>New to the business, I would read each and every real estate advertisement, flyer, postcard or letter that was sent to my home by other agents and thought that the &#8216;Top Producer&#8217; thing <em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">had<\/span><\/em> to be a short term goal for me. \u00c2\u00a0I would not stop until I achieved that status so that I could &#8220;boast&#8221; about it just as other agents did.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0That old customer service seed that my father planted had led me to recognize that customer service, regardless\u00c2\u00a0whether the customer is right or wrong, is <em>most imperative<\/em> in our business.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>I&#8217;ve read numerous\u00c2\u00a0articles and blog posts about how our business is NOT a service industry. \u00c2\u00a0How is it NOT?
